Dr. Christina Faust's research focuses on zoonotic pathogens within diverse host communities in dynamic landscapes. For the past decade, she has collaborated with Uganda's Vector Control Division (Ministry of Health) on vector-borne and zoonotic diseases. In this project, Christina will contribute to the design and implementation of target enrichment sequencing to analyze rodent metaviromes. Working alongside colleagues at the Vector Control Division, she will also help coordinate capture-mark-recapture surveys and community engagement to investigate how small mammals and their viruses change in Uganda's changing landscapes.
