Emilia Johnson

Spatial Epidemiology | Postgraduate Researcher, University of Glasgow

Emilia Johnson’s research explores the intersections of land use change and zoonotic disease emergence, with a focus on industrial resource extraction and socioecological edges. In parallel with the rodent capture-mark-recapture study, she will leverage GPS data, serology, social sciences, and spatial modelling to integrate small mammal metaviromic data with human epidemiological data, aiming to shed light on the human dynamics and public health outcomes of rodent-borne viruses across changing landscapes.
